Luisa WanLu Hung, Malaysia
Luisa WanLu Hung grew up in Taiwan but now lives in Penang, Malaysia. Having graduated with a degree in architecture and later studied anthropology in Taiwan, she moved to Penang in 2008 and worked as an intern architect and researcher in heritage conservation. She became a full-time mother in 2010 and joined Urban Sketchers Penang in the same year, where she developed a habit of recording the multicultural aspects of living in Malaysia through sketching. In 2014, she published her first book, Simple Fieldnotes of a Mama and had her first solo sketch exhibition in several places in Malaysia. Currently, apart from working as a freelance illustrator, she also contributes her skills in sketching and fieldwork to cultural and environmental education programs organized for local communities.
